Until last week I was using Bolt.new with Claude, but with Ship Studio I feel like I've skipped forward 5 years in 7 days.

Hands down my favorite IDE (from a mid coder as the kids would say). Is it even an IDE? That's where I'm at lol.

Just launched lapaleta.ae, our handcrafted paletas brand in Dubai, built entirely in Ship Studio. I've shipped plenty of Webflow and Shopify builds before and it was always the same story: slow, fragile, full of hacks. Ship Studio + Claude Code changed that.

From my experience 90% of clients want the ability to edit stuff themselves. Even if they won't. It makes them feel they own/control their site.

Legitimately don't know how I built anything before Ship Studio. Having to toggle between a bunch of localhost browser windows and Claude Code / Codex terminal all over the place feels so archaic now haha.

My head is going places coz I can just build things way faster. It's such a sick product (first impression).

Jamjar Studio

It's replaced Bolt.new for me, and that was costing me around $50/month.

I just got around to checking out Ship Studio, and it's absolutely incredible. The overall experience of this app is phenomenal. Even the onboarding is so refreshingly simple. This is gonna be massive for the huge quantity of people that want something more polished than Claude Code but less abstracted than Lovable/Bolt/etc.

I spent 1 day with her showing her things in Ship Studio and she nailed it, and her own words were WHY THE FUCK THEY DON'T TEACH US THIS IN UNI.

Where the work gets figured out.

The way people got good at Webflow wasn't from the docs. It was from each other — sharing what worked, debugging in public, showing what they shipped. We're rebuilding that habit for the AI era.

How it works

Your agent. Your stack. Your clients.

Ship Studio doesn't lock you into a model, a framework, or a host. Bring the agent you pay for, the stack you already use, and hand the result to clients they can actually update.

Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode

Any agent you want.

Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode — bring the subscription you already pay for and switch between them in the same window. We don't sell tokens.

Real Git, real frameworks, deploy anywhere

Your tools. Your workflow.

Next.js, Astro, whatever you build with. Real Git history, real npm, deploy to Vercel, Netlify, or anywhere. It's local dev — just with everything in one window.

New Project dialog in Ship Studio — Next.js, SvelteKit, Astro, Nuxt, HTML/CSS/JS, and a blank starter to choose from
Visual edit mode

Easy for clients to update.

Hand off a visual editor for copy and images. No code, nothing they can break. The thing every Webflow client asked for — finally on AI-built sites.

Who it's for

If you've shipped websites for a living, this was built for you.

You learned to ship in Webflow, Framer, or Figma.

You know what done looks like. Ship Studio is the first AI workspace built around that standard, not against it.

This solves a big worry I had with moving away from Webflow.

You ship sites for clients.

Real deadlines, real money, real handoff. Brand control, real Git, and a client editor that doesn't break.

You've tinkered with Claude Code or Cursor and wondered how this becomes real client work.

The leap from terminal demo to shipped client work — proper Git, proper deploys, proper handoff.

More polished than Claude Code but less abstracted than Lovable/Bolt.

What it is, what it isn't

Here's what Ship Studio isn't. And what it actually is.

The tools the best developers use already exist. Ship Studio is the cockpit that runs them. Nothing hidden, nothing locked in, nothing ours that should be yours.

Ship Studio is not an AI agent.

It's the workspace your agent runs inside.

Bring Claude Code, Codex, or OpenCode - your subscription, your choice. Switch between them in the same window. We don't sell tokens.

Ship Studio is not a hosting service.

Your deploy panel for Vercel, Netlify, Cloudflare.

Sites still deploy to the providers you already use. The hosting bill is yours. Nothing routes through us - we just bring the deploy panel into your workspace.

Ship Studio is not a code editor.

It's organized around shipping a site, not editing a file.

Cursor and VS Code are excellent code editors. Ship Studio is something different - agent, preview, Git, deploys, and project context in one window. Drop into Cursor anytime; same repo opens.

Ship Studio is not a no-code platform.

Real code, in your repo, in your framework.

Next.js, Astro, whatever your project uses. Read it, push back on it, hand it to a developer, leave Ship Studio entirely - the project still runs. Nothing to export. It's already yours.

Ship Studio is not a CMS, database, or backend.

It plugs into Sanity, Supabase, and Stripe - and surfaces them.

Sanity, Supabase, Shopify, Stripe - world-class at what they do. Ship Studio surfaces what you need from them. Data, schemas, keys, and dashboards stay where they were built. We add a window, not a wall.

So what is it, then?

Ship Studio is the workspace.

Your agent is in it. Your preview is in it. Your repo is in it. Your deploys are in it. Your CMS, your database, your payments - all reachable from one window, one keyboard shortcut, one project at a time.

The tools the best work gets shipped with. In one cockpit. Nothing more, nothing less.
